Eyebrow Embroidery Aftercare 101: Tips and Tricks

Your brow shape tells a story: it displays your feelings and gives people insight into your thinking. Furthermore, a beautiful pair of brows may enhance your facial characteristics and improve your appearance! With Insta-worthy brows that look on point all day, each day, they’ll be the envy of your pals – and who doesn’t adore compliments?

Don’t allow the fact that you don’t have great brows to dampen your enthusiasm! Nothing can stop you from having perfect brows with traditional or microblading eyebrow embroidery techniques in Singapore. Like with any cosmetic treatment, it is critical to adhere to the aftercare guidelines strictly.

What comes after your embroidery session?

First and foremost, congrats on taking the plunge and booking your first eyebrow embroidery appointment! You’re now well on your road to having gorgeous brows.

Because micro-needles are used to implant pigment onto your skin, the region around your brows will be somewhat red and painful.

Good news: any discomfort you feel after brow embroidery will fade in a couple of days as your skin heals!

When you look in the mirror to check your brows, you’ll notice something unexpected: the colour of your newly-embroidered brows is deeper and bolder than imagined! But before you panic, understand that this is normal and part of the healing process.

Because of the pigment entrenched in your skin, your brows will seem darker when the procedure is completed. However, the colour will gradually diminish over time (yes, they will become natural and lighter in hue) as dead skin cells surrounding your brows shed.

When will my brows heal?

We understand that you want to speed up the healing process of your brows and get the desired outcomes. As eager as you are to show off your new look, a time of recovery is necessary.

Let us return to our earlier remark about how your brows will seem darker after your embroidery operation. Your brows’ boldness lasts around four days, so enjoy this fuller look before it fades to a natural shade!

Scabbing begins around the fifth day and lasts for around two weeks. Your brows would have notably brightened by then. After six weeks, the actual colour of your brows will be revealed!

What aftercare routine should I include?

First, if your brows scab, do not scratch or pull the flaky skin since this might result in spotty results or scarring! You wouldn’t want that, believe us.

Meanwhile, do not use cosmetics, moisturisers, sunscreen, or lotion over your brow region while healing, as this might clog your pores and trigger an infection. Also, keep the treated brow region dry for the first week by avoiding facials and swimming. Sports and strenuous activity are not recommended since the salt in your sweat might cause rapid colour fading.

Finally, we can’t stress this enough: always use the aftercare cream provided by your brow artist on a regular basis! It will help relieve any discomfort or irritation you may have following the treatment and expedite the healing process. If you want something plant-based, Aloe Vera gel is an excellent option.
